In 2008,The USA Cooking Camp Foundation, [USA CCF] a 501c3 nonprofit tax-exempt organization was founded. Our mission is to provide quality programs to educate, inspire, and empower youth and adults. We use culinary arts as a platform to increase the awareness concerning major health and fitness issues.

With a global and local perspective, USA Cooking Camp organizations are clear about the issues facing specific groups, and how these issues are relevant to the larger world community.

MISSION - Hunger Relief

There are close to 400,000 people in Illinois who are hungry and 1.4 million without regualar access to enough food to feed their families.

At the same time, Illinois forgoes $471 million dollars per year in federal dollars for nutrition programs for children. Decades of scientific research has proved that when children are hungry they cannot learn and inadequate nutrition is a major cause of impaired cognative development. Lack of good nutrition during pregnancy can result in low-birth weights, failure to thrive and anemia. Hungry people are more likely to need health care and are not as productive as well-fed individuals.
